River cabins
The Ellijay and Cartecay rivers meet in town to form the Coosawattee, and cabins line all three. Riverside wood lives in damp air, so decks, posts and lower walls need a close look every year.
The Ellijay area is the south end of our territory. River cabins, orchard-country homes and mountain houses across Gilmer County are all within reach.

Many Gilmer County cabins are second homes. A small leak or a soft board can go unnoticed for months between visits, so it pays to have someone check the roof, the gutters and the deck.
Homes in the hills outside town are often reached by long gravel drives. Grading and resurfacing keep them usable, and proper drainage keeps runoff away from the house.
