Life on the lake side
Homes near Morganton Point and along the east shore are built to face the water, which usually means big decks, long stairs and a lot of exposed wood. All of it needs washing and stain on a schedule.
Morganton sits on the east side of Lake Blue Ridge, a short drive from our Mineral Bluff mailing address. Lake homes, hillside cabins and everything on the roads between.

Getting from the house to the water often takes a run of stairs or a boardwalk down a wooded bank. These sit in shade, stay damp and deserve the same care as the main deck.
Between Morganton and Mineral Bluff, many homes sit on private gravel roads. Grading and fresh gravel keep them passable, and good drainage keeps them from washing out again.
